The Internet Banking Center (IBC) located in Atlanta, Georgia is the heart
of nFronts operation. The IBC consists of Web servers connected to the Internet at
TI capacity, security firewalls, the secure SQL database server containing customer information,
and the file transfer server which the bank uses to upload and download current account
information.
The customer accesses the bank Web site which resides on the Web server. Once at the
Web site, the customer can opt to select Internet Banking. The customer will be prompted for a
user ID and password. Once authenticated, the customers request is processed by the secure
Internet banking application. Information requests are routed over a secure private network to
the SQL database server, which will reply with requested information.
The Bank uploads current account information to the file transfer server after nightly processing. This
information is instantly imported into the secure SQL database to provide customers with account balances
and transaction register details. nFront creates transaction log files and places them on the file transfer
server. These files contain the transactions that occur in the bank's online banking system. The bank
downloads these files for input in its processing.
