Advantage® Payroll Services
nFront and Advantage® Payroll Services have partnered to offer integrated payroll services to small businesses throughout the country. APS-Online, Advantage's new Internet Payroll product, will be integrated with nFront's nBusiness™ cash management service and delivered via the banks' Internet banking sites. APS-Online will be activated from within nBusiness when end-users click on the "Advantage Payroll" tab.
Advantage Payroll's service is distinguished by its unique ability to accept customer-entered data via the Internet rather than by phone, fax or batch entry. Other providers claiming to provide Internet payroll processing typically offer only summary reports via the Internet. In addition, Advantage offers businesses the option to submit 401(k) payments and Workman's Comp payments every pay period instead of requiring single, lump-sum payments required by many payroll processors.
BISYS Document Solutions Inc.
BISYS Document Solutions Inc., the leading electronic check-image provider for community banks, exclusively markets nHome™ to its bank clients. Today, the company maintains 70 percent market share among financial institutions.
Digital Equipment Corporation
Digital Equipment Corporation is a leading supplier of high-performance, Web-based computing solutions that helps enterprises compete in the global marketplace. Digital gives nFront's customers an Internet advantage through a comprehensive portfolio of award-winning Internet solutions, advanced networking infrastructure, innovative software and industry applications.
John H. Harland Company
John H. Harland Company and nFront have teamed up to develop Internet-based, one-to-one marketing tools for the financial industry. The development effort will result in the first commercially available Internet banking system fully integrated with advanced Marketing Customer Information File (MCIF) technology. The development is expected to complete pilot testing by the second quarter of 2000.
With the new system, nFront and Harland clients will be able to deliver MCIF-driven, customer-specific messages through their Internet banking sites. The system represents a distinct improvement over conventional Internet banner advertisements, which are targeted to groups rather than to specific individuals. This partnership will also allow a financial institution to calculate the ROI of their Internet banking initiatives by capturing responsiveness to messages and the profitability of accounts and services sold.
M&I Data Services
In February 1999, M&I Data Services acquired Moneyline Express, a Travelers Express subsidiary that is the second largest bill payment processor in the nation serving 4,500 financial institutions and 44,000 retail outlets across the U.S. M&I Data Services handles the back-end processing for both Internet and telephone bill payment functions for nFront's financial institution clients.
Intuit, Inc. OFX link to Quicken® and QuickBooks®
nFront and Intuit, Inc. have formed a strategic alliance to electronically connect Internet banking customers with Intuit's Quicken and QuickBooks software through OFX (Open Financial Exchange), a set of standards used to facilitate e-commerce.
OFX will allow end-users of nFront's Internet banking systems, nHome™ and nBusiness™, to download their bank transaction data from bank sites into Quicken and QuickBooks. Users will also be able to enter transactions, such as transfers and bill payments, in Intuit's software and then connect to the Internet to execute the transactions through nFront's bank-branded solution.
Under terms of the agreement, nFront will develop an Intuit-certified OFX server to enable data exchange with Intuit software. Participating banks may choose to brand Intuit's software with their own logos and colors. Banks also have the opportunity to generate revenue from selling Intuit software products.
Intuit, Inc. Online Tax Preparation and Filing
nFront and Intuit, Inc. have formed a strategic alliance to provide bank-branded Web sites for online tax preparation and filing. Banks using nFront's Internet banking services will be able to offer customers the ability to prepare and file federal and state personal income tax forms online using Intuit's Quicken® TurboTax® for the WebSM. Under terms of the agreement, nFront will make the new service available on participating banks' Web sites from January through April 15 starting in the year 2000 through 2002.
To use the new electronic tax preparation and filing service, bank customers will link from the financial institution's Internet banking site to a site co-branded by the bank and Intuit. Banks will receive royalties from the nominal fees charged to tax filers for this service.
Microsoft Corporation
A Microsoft Solution Provider Partner, nFront works closely with Microsoft's financial services division, and has designed its system to utilize leading Microsoft products, including Windows NT 4.0 and SQL Server 6.5. nFront also supports Microsoft's Active Server Page (ASP) programming language and the Open Financial Exchange (OFX) initiative between Microsoft, Intuit and CheckFree. In December 1997, nFront received Microsoft Corporation's Retail Banking Industry Solution Award for best internet banking solution.
MindSpring Enterprises, Inc.
MindSpring Enterprises, Inc., a leading national Internet service provider, and nFront have partnered to provide a bundled package of services that includes Internet access, Internet banking and Internet bill payment.
For first-time Internet users, the package cuts the time and cost of setting up both Internet access and Internet banking. Financial institutions that have established Internet banking through nFront will be able to offer the package to their customers. The package gives bank customers -- both first-time Internet users and those who are already online -- strong incentives to try Internet banking. In addition, nFront provides a full range of marketing support services to help banks promote the package to their customers.
With MindSpring Internet access, bank customers are greeted by MindSpring's intuitive start page featuring the bank's logo. By clicking on the Bank's logo, customers are directly linked to their bank's Internet banking and bill payment services, enabled by nFront.
Nexchange Corporation
Nexchange Corporation™, the leader in affiliate marketing and merchandising, has partnered with nFront to provide online shopping to nFront's member banks. The partnership will offer nFront's 210 member banks the ability to access Nexchange's network of retailers, which will provide the banks' end-users the opportunity to purchase name-brand products sold by Nexchange retailers online.
Unlike other online shopping networks, the relationship with Nexchange will give participating nFront member banks management of the end-user experience, Web site co-branding and significant revenue opportunities.
Powertel, Inc.
Powertel, Inc., a leading wireless Personal Communications Service (PCS) provider, partnered with nFront to offer Internet banking to Powertel customers on their wireless handsets. nFront, Powertel's first bank technology partner, will deliver banking applications directly to Powertel handsets through Powertel's short messaging service (SMS).
With Powertel's new Mobile e-mail service, customers of banks using the nFront service will be able to receive customized, system-generated e-mail messages on Powertel handsets. Each customer can define the activities and transactions that will trigger e-mail alerts. Powertel will translate messages it receives via e-mail from nFront into SMS-formatted digital text messages and forward them to the customer's handset.
