BANCORPSOUTH MOVES TO nFRONT™ INTERNET BANKING SOLUTION
BancorpSouth upgrades online offerings with customer-friendly nHome™
ATLANTA, GA., February 4, 1999 - nFront™, Inc., the leading provider of full-service Internet banking for community-focused banks and winner of Microsoft's Best Internet Banking Solution Award, announced today it has licensed its Internet banking product, nHome™, to BancorpSouth, Inc., (NYSE: BXS) the Tupelo, Mississippi based bank which operates 162 banking offices in Mississippi, Tennessee and Alabama.
In keeping with the company's commitment to anticipate and meet the needs of its customers now and in the future and to provide the highest level of customer service in the fulfillment of those needs, BancorpSouth has turned to nFront to improve its online services by providing a proven, customer-friendly Internet banking solution.
Existing BancorpSouth Internet banking customers have noticed an immediate improvement in ease-of-use and functionality when they are automatically and transparently converted to the new system. New Internet banking customers are able to apply for accounts online through the updated web site located at www.bancorpsouth.com.

nHome, nFront's Microsoft NT-based Internet banking application, enables banking customers to open new accounts, apply for loans, view account balances and histories, pay bills, transfer funds, download images of cleared checks, customize reports, and download active statements into personal financial management packages at anytime, from any location, using any browser-enabled device such as personal computers and televisions. From the bank's perspective, nHome allows the bank to expand its reach to a broader market, primarily composed of the most profitable banking customers, while taking advantage of the least expensive delivery channel available today. Because customers are afforded greater access to and control over their account information, the bank's customer service overhead can ultimately be reduced. And, through the collection of data captured online, the bank can target specific customers for more efficient and effective cross selling and marketing campaigns.
