nFront Licenses Internet Banking Solution To Six Banks In 1998
January licenses bring total to 20 community banks across the nation using nHome
ATHENS, GA. (February 4, 1998) - nFront, Inc., the leading provider of full-service Internet banking for community banks and winner of Microsoft's Best Internet Banking Solution Award, announced today it has licensed its solution to six banks since the beginning of the year, bringing the total to 20 financial institutions using the nFront solution. With nHome, the company's Microsoft NT-based, fat server Internet banking solution, community banks can quickly and affordably begin offering their customers all of the conveniences of round-the-clock access to accounts and full transactional capabilities using any secure Internet access device such as personal computers and televisions.
"The success of the community bank lies in its relationship with and commitment to its customers," said Tripp Rackley, president and CEO of nFront. "Using the most convenient and cost-effective delivery channel available today, nFront has developed a solution to allow community banks to capitalize on this strength by extending that personal touch to their customers anytime, anywhere.
"Moreover, nFront provides a 'fat server' solution, enabling community banks to collect and mine invaluable customer data," continued Rackley. "Through our customizable reporting features, this information can be used to target specific customer groups, then anticipate and address their likely needs."
Currently 10 community banks across the country are up and running on the nFront system, offering full-service Internet banking to their customers. The company expects to double that number by the end of the first quarter of this year. nFront clients include First Commerce Bank, Commerce, GA; First National Bank & Trust, Pipestone, MN; Home Federal Savings Bank, Sioux Falls, SD; Citizens Tri-County Bank, Dunlap, TN; and The State Bank of Hildreth, Hildreth, NE. nHome
nHome, the company's Microsoft NT-based Internet banking application, enables banking customers to open new accounts, apply for loans, view account balances and histories, pay bills, transfer funds, download images of cleared checks, customize reports, and download active statements into personal financial management packages at anytime, from any location, using any browser-enabled device such as personal computers and televisions. From the bank's perspective, nHome allows the bank to expand its reach to a broader market, primarily composed of the most profitable banking customers, while taking advantage of the least expensive delivery channel available today. Because customers are afforded greater access to and control over their account information, the bank's customer service overhead can ultimately be reduced. And, through the collection of data captured online, the bank can target specific customers for more efficient and effective cross-selling and marketing campaigns.
