First Commerce Technologies Selects nFront's Secure Internet Banking Solution
-- Community bank customers to gain access to Internet banking --
Athens, Ga., October 8, 1997 - First Commerce Technologies (FCT) and nFront today announced a licensing agreement that will allow community banks throughout the United States to offer secure financial services on the Internet. FCT, based in Lincoln, Nebraska, is a premier provider of technology-based business solutions for community banks. FCT will incorporate nFront's flagship product, nHome™ as its Internet Banking solution. Under the agreement, FCT will outsource Internet data processing to nFront's data center in Athens, Georgia.
This agreement enables FCT to offer its over 250 community banking customers full-service Internet banking, allowing them to open checking, savings, money market and individual retirement accounts from their personal computers. With nHome™, customers can also pay bills electronically, review check registers and online statements, purchase certificates of deposit, communicate with customer service representatives, generate customized reports, transfer funds, calculate "what if?" scenarios for loan products and have access to a bank that is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
