Eight Community Banks to Implement nFront's Windows NT® and SQL Server based Internet Banking Solution
-- nFront to provide comprehensive Internet services --
INDIANAPOLIS, May 21, 1997 - nFront announced today at the FutureBank show that eight
community banks have recently contracted for its nHome Internet banking solution based upon
Microsoft® Internet Information Server for Windows NT®. The company, which creates, hosts and
maintains secure Internet sites, is also an official Microsoft Solution Provider. nFront has
two banks with live Internet sites and will have its eight new customers' sites live by August
1997.
nFront's flagship product, nHome, is a Windows NT and SQL Server based banking application
enabling banks to offer fully interactive, 24 hour, 7 day a week financial services and
information to on-line account holding customers and prospects. Using nHome, customers can
view account balance and histories, transfer funds between accounts, pay bills, open new
accounts, and communicate with their bank representatives.
"The nFront solution is a great solution to one of today's most pressing concerns for the
banks- how to deliver service and functionality when the world of financial services is moving
at Internet speed," said Mike Dusche, worldwide industry marketing manager, financial services
at Microsoft. "Microsoft is pleased to see the results of our association with nFront lead to
such a meaningful solution for our mutual customers."
The nHome software best operates through a secure, private network managed by nFront for
tracking and reporting site traffic, site maintenance and security. It works in conjunction
with Microsoft SQL Server to ensure transaction requests are immediately fulfilled. Plus, the
SQL Server technology monitors account validation, account transfers, security analysis,
account tracking, and ensures information is continually backed up in a secure environment.
John Barker, assistant cashier of Dunlap, Tennessee-based Citizens TriCounty Bank, one of
nFront's eight new customers, said, "Implementing home banking is part of our strategy to
gain market share by providing financial services throughout the United States. We are
customizing our site to offer CDs and imaged statements that can be downloaded into our
customers' computers. We are beating our competitors to the punch by offering this service."
nFront also offers an interactive Web calculator suite for financial planning, extensive
customer demographic collection and reporting functions, and a customizable email system for
distributing on-line marketing promotions and product information.
Tripp Rackley, president of nFront, said, "Customers are requesting faster, more convenient
financial services. Implementing Internet banking into the community bank is a cost-effective
solution to providing better, value-added customer service. It also gives banks a branch that
never closes and the ability to serve an unlimited market."
nFront provides Windows NT operating system-based Internet banking solutions for community
banks including Web site design, hosting of the site, and maintenance. The company's nHome
product enables banks to offer customers 24-hour, on-line access to financial services.
Founded in 1996, nFront owns the registration rights of the www.banking.com domain name.
Clients include First Commerce Bank of Commerce, Georgia and First National Bank and Trust
of Pipestone, Minnesota.
